Novant Health in Kernersville, North Carolina seeks a Radiology Technologist to assist physicians by preparing patients and operating the x-ray equipment to obtain diagnostic images in an outpatient setting.

Ideal candidates have an ARRT-approved radiography background, an associate degree, and strong communication and technical skills to support timely diagnoses and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent preferred.
• Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography program required.
• NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department ARRT registration required.
• Knowledge of radiographic equipment, safety, and patient age-specific care.

What We Offer

Novant Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to assist physicians in performing diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images. • Schedule: 4 Day Work Week & Hours Varies Weekly -Start time 6:30am & End time Varies
• Clinics Operation Hours: Monday - Friday 7am -3pm
• Department: KMC Outpatient Surgery Center
• Location: Kernersville, North Carolina

What You'll Do

• Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures for patients

What We're Looking For

• Education:2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program, required.
• Experience: One year experience in diagnostic radiology, preferred.
• Licensure/certification/registration: NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(R) Required NH Medical Group Office Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(R).
• Additional skills required:Thorough knowledge of radiographic equipment and accessories. Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s) age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills, capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms, working knowledge of various types of x-ray equipment, able to adapt to various situations and procedures.
• Additional Skills/Requirements (preferred):
• NH MedicalRegistry-eligible in Radiography by ARRT.
• Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(required). Required within 6 months of hire
• NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient
• Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT (required)
• NH Medical Group
• Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(Required)
