Novant Health in South Carolina is seeking a Radiologic Technologist I to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, prepare patients, and operate x-ray equipment to obtain diagnostic images in ambulatory settings.

The role requires ARRT certification and state licensure, an associate degree or equivalent, and at least one year of diagnostic radiology experience; the candidate will use EMR/RIS/PACS, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Job description

What We Offer

The Radiologic Technologist I works independently and/or assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images in the ambulatory setting.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday from 8AM until 4:30 PM

What You'll Do
  • Patient Safety & Care: Verify patient identity, history, consent, allergies, and medications. Prepare patients for procedures, provide safe care, and follow infection control and safety protocols.
  • Imaging: Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures according to established protocols. Operate imaging equipment, administer contrast as prescribed, evaluate image quality, and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Technology & Documentation: Accurately use EMR, RIS, and PACS systems. Maintain complete patient records and ensure timely transfer of images and clinical information.
  • Communication: Explain procedures, answer patient questions, and provide professional, compassionate care while collaborating with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Compliance & Safety: Maintain ARRT certification and state licensure. Follow radiation safety, ALARA, quality assurance, and organizational standards.
  • Professional Development: Support students and colleagues, maintain clinical competencies, and stay current with imaging practices and safety requirements.
What We’re Looking For
  • Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program, required.
  • Experience: One year experience in diagnostic radiology, required.
  • Licensure/Certification: NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(R) Required NH Medical Group Office Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(R), required.
  • Additional Skills (required): Thorough knowledge of radiographic equipment and accessories. Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s) age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills, capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms, working knowledge of various types of x-ray equipment, able to adapt to various situations and procedures.
  • Additional Skills (preferred): NH MedicalRegistry-eligible in Radiography by ARRT. Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT Required within 6 months of hire. NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient. Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT( required. NH Medical Group Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(Required.
