Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist at Medstar Union Memorial Hospital to perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, including EKGs, phlebotomy, IV insertions, autologous and therapeutic donations, and vital signs.

The ideal candidate is ARRT-certified with Maryland license and strong communication skills. Responsibilities include documentation, patient history, preparing reports, and managing PACS CDs. A limited-time $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Registered Radiology Technologist with ARRT certification.
• Maryland license required or eligible.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with fluoroscopy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops and performs radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations.
• Maintains equipment and work area cleanliness and safety.
• Obtains patient history and vital signs; documents results.
• Creates CDs from PACS and documents evaluation results.

MedStar Health is looking for a Radiology Technologist to join our team at Medstar Union Memorial Hospital!The ideal candidate will bea registered Radiology Technologist with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

As aRadiology Technologist,you willperform diagnostic medical radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures through interpretation, EKGs, phlebotomy, IV insertions, autologous and therapeutic donations, and obtain vital signs.

Primary Duties:

• Develops film including evaluating film for technical quality.Transport patients to radiographic room as needed. Prepares and maintains room.
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Reports any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions. MaintainsX-rayand other equipment in efficient operating order.Performs preventative maintenance regularly.
• Obtains patient history, answers patient questions, and explains procedures.Obtains vital signs, asindicated, along with required documentation.Prepares writtendocumentation suchas evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, and progress reports. Access, manipulate, store and Create CD's from PACS.
• Performs radiographic examinations. Mayassista licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic, specialized interventional procedures. May perform non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures asappropriateand consistent with applicable state statutes.
• Requests and orders supply as needed to keep materials on hand.Checks drug supplies and informs theappropriate personof what needs to be re-stocked.

Qualifications:

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) Radiology Technology and license in the State of Maryland.
• Associate degree preferred.

This position has a hiring range of : USD $30.47 - USD $55.36 /Hr.
