MedStar Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our team across multiple locations in Maryland. The role involves performing radiographic imaging under physician supervision, handling patient intake, standing orders, venipuncture, and related tasks to support efficient patient flow.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT registration in Maryland, a High School Diploma or GED, and BLS certification; an Associate degree is preferred.

• Basic Life Support (BLS).

• Obtains patient history, answers questions, and explains procedures; transports patients and prepares room.

• Requests and orders supplies.

MedStar Health is looking for a Radiology Technologist to join our team!

As a Radiology Technologist, you will perform clinical and administrative duties in the MedStar Health Settings consistent with policies & procedures. Works under the supervision of a physician and performs patient intake, standing orders or protocols, venipuncture, laboratory testing and patient follow up. Will also administer oral, IM, SC, or intradermal medications when ordered by a provider, after demonstrating competency to the Clinical Professional Development Specialist or designee. Clinical Care Specialists (CCSs) certified as Radiologic Technologists also perform and transmit X-ray diagnostic images. This position as appropriate in the medical record and supports optimal patient flow.

Primary Duties:

• Acquires ordered images including evaluating these images for technical quality. Sends images to appropriate destinations for interpretation.
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Reports any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions. Maintains X-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order. Performs preventative maintenance regularly.
• Obtains patient history, answers patient questions, and explains procedures. Transports patients to radiographic room and prepares and maintains room.
• Performs radiographic examinations. Prepares written documentation such as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, and progress reports.
• Requests and orders supply.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in the State of Maryland.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Associate degree preferred.

This position has a hiring range of : USD $30.47 - USD $55.36 /Hr.
