CommonSpirit Health's Siena Hospital in Henderson, NV is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to produce diagnostic images for radiologists, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound, while delivering a positive patient experience.

The role requires ARRT Radiography certification, BLS, and on-call availability with a 30-minute on-site response. You will perform/assist with exams per physician specs and safety standards in a busy acute-care setting.

Qualifications

  • Accredited radiologic technology training program (CAAHEP or equivalent) completed.
  • ARRT Radiography certification or registry eligible with certification within 4 months of hire.
  • On completion after one year, re-classification to Imaging Technologist.
  • Modality-specific advanced registry within 12 months of hire.
  • Must be able to perform routine imaging procedures independently and assist in contrast administration.
  • On-call availability with 30-minute hospital arrival.

  • Position patients and immobilize per protocol to obtain accurate radiographic results.
  • Operate imaging equipment and select factors for each patient.
  • Rotate within departments and assist in other areas when needed.
  • Assist physicians with contrast media, sterile procedures, and related duties.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

  • Job Specific Functions
  • Transfers and properly positions patient, for examinations, in order to obtain desired radiographic results according to physician specifications and established protocols. Provides immobilization as required and protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
  • Selects and operates equipment, selecting proper technical factors on an individual patient basis. Selects and loads proper film cassettes, using film markers correctly and consistently.
  • Rotates within the department or other departments and shifts as required. Supports in other areas when not busy in own area.
  • Assists physicians in performance of examinations by mixing and pouring contrast media, administering opaque media, holding and turning patients, assisting in sterile procedures, and other related duties as required.
Job Requirements
  • Successful completion of a fully accredited training program (full accreditation means the training program is accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health EducationPrograms (CAAHEP) or a similar, nationally recognized, accrediting agency)in the pertinent modality for which theemployee is being hired. 2. Successful and valid registration/certification by a nationally recognized accrediting agency;in the specific modality for which the employee was hired or registry eligible and valid registration/certification must be obtained within four (4) months of hire date. 3. After one year of satisfactory performance as a validly registered/certified technologist in the specific modality for which the employee was hired, the employee will be re-classified to the Imaging Technologistclassification. 4. Modality specific advanced level registry must be obtained within twelve months of hire date. 5. Should any of the above requirements (completion of the program or achieving registration/certification) not be obtained inthe specified timeframe, a single three (3) month extension may be considered and granted at the discretion of the management. Failure to obtain/achieve valid certification will result in immediate termination from employment
  • Must be capable of performing all routinediagnostic procedures independently,including but not limited to: routine,fluoroscopy, OR, trauma, portableradiographs; limited specials such as Myelograms, Venograms, ERCP's
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
  • BLS-American Heart Association
  • Must be available to participate in on-call rotations and arrive at the hospital with a 30-minute response time
