Job summary

Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform X-rays, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI. You will produce diagnostic images, ensure patient comfort, and support Radiologists with accurate positioning and high-quality films.

The role demands ARRT registration, AZ Radiographer license, BLS, and an ACR-accredited radiologic program. You will work in a busy imaging department and assist with CDs, reports, and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Completion of approved American College of Radiology Radiologic Technologist Program.
  • Medical Radiographer: AZ licensure.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS).
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT.

Responsibilities

  • Produces diagnostic images (X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI) for Radiologists.
  • Maintains radiation safety practices for patients and staff.
  • Ensures high-quality films; correct labeling and patient positioning.
  • Operates PACS/Radnet/RCO systems; locates films and prints reports.
  • Completes hospital forms per protocol and documents exams in Radnet.
  • Assists physicians with CDs, images, and report preparation.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions. Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X‑rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

  • Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others.
  • Displays competency performing procedures; follows every step for taking an x‑ray (two patient identifiers, gel in/gel out, etc). Always produces high quality films. Accurately marks radiographs with R's and L's, supine and upright (if appropriate); and assures that patient information is clearly visible.
  • Competent in one or more areas of Diagnostic Radiology (fluoro, portables, OR, Litho, ED/Trauma).
  • Understands the interrelation and operates the various computer systems such as RCO, Radnet, PACS and other hospital systems.
  • Assists Imaging Support in locating films/images, loading CD's, printing reports and assisting physicians.
  • Accurately and thoroughly completes hospital/department forms per protocol (e.g., incident reports, side/site forms, etc.). Completes exam(s) in Radnet, enters notes or other required documentation into Radnet, DR or other computer systems.

$6500 sign‑on bonus.

Required
  • Completion of approved American College of Radiology: Radiologic Technologist Program.

Pay Range

$28.10 - $41.80 per hour.
