Sentara Health Plans is seeking a Radiology Technologist to conduct diagnostic imaging studies under physician supervision. The role involves patient positioning, operating radiological equipment, and managing systems. Hours: Mon--Fri, 8a-5p. Weekends may be available.
As a Radiology Technologist, you will conduct general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients within your demonstrated competency, under the direction of a qualified physician. Responsibilities include positioning patients for accurate demonstration of anatomy/pathology, operating radiation-producing equipment, managing electronic Radiology systems, and preparing patient rooms, equipment, and medications.
Phlebotomy competency for lab work may be required at certain sites that handle both Radiology and Lab.
