Job summary

This position involves assisting radiologists with imaging procedures to ensure patient comfort and diagnostic accuracy. Flexible scheduling is available, allowing for 4, 8, or 12-hour shifts based on department needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years college certificate or equivalent required.
• NYS license in Radiologic Technology required OR NYS permit and must obtain licensing within six months.
• If licensed after 2007, must obtain ARRT certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiography of patients in assigned areas and ensure proper service.
• Maintain accountability for patient care and documentation.
• Provide on-call coverage for the Diagnostic Section of Radiology.

Job Title: Radiology Technologist

Department: Imaging

Location: Imaging Center - Linden Oaks

Hours Per Week: Per Diem

Schedule: Flexible scheduling- Option for 4, (Saturday), 8 or 12 hour shifts dependent on need as well as an option to help cover occasional Saturday hours 9am-1pm

Summary

As a Radiologic Technologist, you assist radiologists with imaging procedures to ensure diagnostic quality and the maximum comfort and safety of patients who undergo procedures.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care - Perform radiography of patients in all assigned areas; maintain accountability for timely and proper service to patients during unsupervised shifts; provide on-call coverage for the Diagnostic Section of Radiology; provide excellent patient service.
• General Maintenance - Clean, restock and prepare rooms on a daily basis.
• Documentation - Ensure concise, and complete documentation of patient exams and related procedures, utilizing the RIS/PACS and in-patient charts as necessary.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 2 years college certificate or equivalent.
• NYS license in Radiologic Technology required OR must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of hire.
• If licensed after 2007 must obtain American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT) within 1 year of hire.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.
• BLS Certification preferred.

Physical Requirements

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
