Job description

Radiologic Technologist - X Ray Technician

Location: Germantown, MD

Pay: From $32 per hour

Must Have:

• Positive, friendly attitude with the ability to work well in a team
• Availability to work three 12-hour shifts or flexible hours, including evenings and every other weekend
• Experienced X-Ray Technician with at least one year of clinical experience (preferred)
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Licensure as a Radiologic Technologist or Limited Radiologic Technologist by the Maryland Board of Health Professions
• For Limited Radiologic Technologists: licensure in anatomical areas such as chest/thorax, extremities, skull/sinuses, spine, and abdomen/pelvis
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Exceptional customer service skills
• High attention to detail and strong time management skills
• Ability to multitask efficiently under pressure
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities:

• Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment by following procedures and regulations
• Gain patient cooperation by explaining procedures and answering questions
• Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning, immobilizing, and adjusting equipment
• Practice radiation safety techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff
• Adhere to infection control policies and protocols
• Collaborate with clinical staff and physicians to provide excellent patient care
• Complete all required paperwork for procedures and studies
• Assist in retrieving and stocking supplies
