***This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located onsite in the southeast, southwest, or central United States. Travel may be required.***

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide medical services at the scope and level of a Radiology Technician to maintain the health of employees and client personnel.
  2. Perform diagnostic imaging examinations such as X-rays, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, mammography, and ultrasound. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  3. Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into specified positions, and setting exposure factors.
  4. Gain patient cooperation by reducing anxieties, explaining procedures, and answering questions.
  5. Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam-restrictive devices, patient shielding, and understanding exposure factors.
  6. Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies, following drug protocols, administering first aid, and using emergency equipment when necessary.
  7. Maintain the quality of radiographs and other media by following established standards, developing images, observing results, and making adjustments as needed.
  8. Ensure the operation of radiology equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, inventory management, and evaluating new techniques and equipment.
  9. Manage radiology supplies and inventory by checking stock levels, anticipating needs, placing orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.
  10. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with safety procedures and regulations.
  11. Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Completed an approved Radiology Technician program leading to a Diploma, Certificate, or Associate Degree.
  2. Possess an unrestricted state license or be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  3. At least 2 years of recent experience as a Radiology Technician.
  4. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  5. Experience in performing CT procedures, including contrast exams.
  6. Ability to multitask, be detail-oriented, organized, and possess excellent communication skills.
  7. Proficiency with computers, MS Office, and common office equipment.
  8. Flexibility to adapt to sudden changes and potential shift adjustments based on operational needs.
  9. Strong problem-solving skills to research and resolve inquiries promptly.
  10. Recent clinical experience in direct patient care, with a minimum of 6 months in the last 12 months in the relevant field.

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:

  1. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
  2. May require bending, stooping, and lifting for patient care and transport.
