Job summary

Centerpoint Health - Winchester is seeking a Radiology Technician to join our team on a full-time night schedule (Tuesday–Thursday, 7:00 pm–7:30 am). The role includes performing imaging procedures, preparing patients, and maintaining safety standards while supporting continuous quality improvement.

The candidate should graduate from a radiology program, hold a current Radiation Operator Certificate, be ARRT-R radiology registered, and have BCLS.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a Radiology program required.
• License/Certifications: Current Radiation Operator Certificate in state of practice; registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiology; BCLS required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders; educates patients on procedures, equipment, and exams.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice as ordered; monitors patient condition.
• Prepares equipment and supplies; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters; ensures safety compliance.
• Performs quality control checks on equipment; troubleshoots and reports malfunctions.
• Positions patients and performs imaging procedures; analyzes results and takes corrective action.
• Enters, transmits, and reports scan results accurately.
• Provides direct support in meeting departmental service levels.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

How You'll Contribute

• Positions patients and performs imaging procedures. Analyzes results, identifies quality issues, and takes corrective action including repositioning or repeating procedures.
• Enters, transmits, and reports scan results accurately.
• Provides direct support in meeting departmental service levels.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
