Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Radiology Tech to join our Imaging team in North Carolina. You will review orders, educate patients, and perform imaging procedures with attention to safety and quality.

ARRT certification and BLS are required, with ACLS/PALS pursued within six months. Join a dedicated team at a community-focused hospital known for comprehensive imaging services and strong patient care commitments.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiology program with ARRT certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire is required.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Review patient history and orders; educate patient on procedures, equipment and exam.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications as appropriate.
• Prepare equipment, select exposure factors and imaging parameters; ensure safety and perform QC on equipment.
• Safely operate imaging devices, monitor patient status, troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.
• Position patients and perform imaging procedures; analyze results and ensure image quality; transmit and report scans.

Join our dedicated Imaging team at Harris Regional, an 86-bed facility offering a full range of services including general surgery, women's care, intensive care, and emergency services. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional respiratory care, continuously seeking ways to enhance the patient and family experience. We work closely with all providers and caregivers to ensure the best possible outcomes for every patient we serve.

How you'll contribute

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.

• Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reports scan results.

What we're looking for

Applicants should be a graduate of a Radiology program and be ARRT certified. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
• ASLS certification preferred
