Job summary

William Newton Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Radiologic Technologist to perform X-ray and CT exams, with mammography preferred. You will ensure patient safety and operate imaging equipment across diverse modalities.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, minimizing radiation exposure, and collaborating with radiologists. Knowledge of RIS/PACS and CWAs is beneficial; on-call may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Certified by the State of Kansas to practice and administer radiation.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Careful handling of patients undergoing imaging exams and procedures.
• Proper use of equipment to minimize hazards of electrical shock or burns.
• Instructs and prepares patients for radiographic, CT and mammography examinations.
• Selects appropriate equipment and techniques to minimize radiation exposure.
• Utilizes RIS and PACS systems for optimal workflow.
• Maintains patient files and reports and assists in training staff and students.
• Performs all aspects of patient care with emphasis on safety and quality.
