Job summary

Newport Hospital & Health Services is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic CT and X-ray procedures, while ensuring patient safety and accurate imaging. You will interface with patients and clinical staff to coordinate imaging needs and adhere to radiation safety standards.

The role requires ARRT radiography certification with CT training, AMA-approved education, and one year of imaging experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• State licensure permitting diagnostic CT exams.
• Registration and certification in radiography by ARRT with CT training.
• Certification in nuclear medicine technology by ARRT or NMTCB with CT training.
• One year of radiologic/imaging experience.
• Must obtain CT registry within one year of hire.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT and/or X-ray exams with focus on patient safety and accurate imaging.
• Instruct and position patients; ensure correct anatomical posture and shielding.
• Review prescribed radiation dosage for accuracy and maintain safety protocols.
• Maintain equipment and perform pre-procedure checks and preventive maintenance.
• Provide care suitable for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
