Job summary

Intermountain Health is recruiting Radiologic Technologists-in-Training (CT) at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. The role offers a structured pathway to transfer into CT with on-the-job training and a focus on safety and high-quality imaging.

Ideal candidates are RTs seeking CT advancement or experienced CT technologists joining a flagship hospital; a sign-on bonus is available for eligible certified applicants after CT training and transition.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal Radiologic Technology training from an ARRT-approved school.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Current State of Utah Radiologic Technologist License.
• ARRT Radiography certification and eligibility to sit for the applicable CT registry.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and imaging orders; prepare patients for exams, including contrast administration.
• Position patients accurately using anatomy and physiology knowledge.
• Perform CT exams following department protocols and transmit data for radiologist interpretation.
• Evaluate image quality in real time and adjust to ensure diagnostic-quality images.
• Perform routine equipment cleaning, calibration, and maintenance; report equipment concerns.
• Adapt imaging techniques based on patient age, size, and medical condition.
• Support department operations, including inventory management and quality initiatives.
• Maintain radiation safety and infection prevention standards.
• Follow documentation, consents, and coding/charging policies.
• Pursue continued learning and new CT procedures.
• Complete all required documentation with time stamps and image storage.

Education

Completion of formal Radiologic Technology training (ARRT-approved school)

BLS certification for Healthcare Providers

Current State of Utah Radiologic Technologist License

ARRT Radiography certification and CT registry eligibility
