Job summary

Surgery Ventures in Florida is seeking Radiology Tech for a Seasonal PRN role. You will prep patients, assist with exams, and ensure safety and accuracy in radiologic procedures. The position is non-benefit eligible, with only 401(k) and retirement contributions per PRN policy.

Expect to float within the division as needed, with shifts varying by center demands, and a minimum 24 hours per week. ARRT certification and state license are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiology required.
• 1+ years' experience as a Radiology Technician, preferably OR or surgery center.
• ARRT certification required.
• BLS required within 30 days of start.
• State Radiology Technician license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams and procedures; assess condition before and during radiologic procedures.
• Assemble supplies and positioning aids per physician’s preference card.
• Test and monitor radiology equipment for proper functioning.
• Document records and adhere to policies/procedures.
• Ensure all persons in room are shielded before activating x-ray.
• Communicate patient status to other care staff.
• Maintain instruments, supplies and equipment per cleaning/calibration procedures.

Job description

SEASONAL RATE: $45/hr

PROGRAM DATES ARE OCT 1, 2026 TO DEC 31, 2026

Seasonal Program requirements:

• Current HCA Healthcare or HWS employees are not eligible to transfer into the seasonal program
• All Seasonal Staff are required to work a minimum of 24 hours per week / 48 hours per pay period during the seasonal period to qualify
• Seasonal Staff may be asked to float to another center within the same division/market if emergent staffing needs exist
• Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off
• Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401(k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policy
• Registered Nurses who are in the Seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation
• Schedules/shifts may vary based on center needs

What you will do

• Prepares patients for exams and procedures. Assesses patient condition prior to and during all radiologic procedures.
• Assemble necessary supplies and positioning aids for scheduling your procedures according to your physician’s preference card
• Tests and monitor your equipment for proper working condition
• You will document records and other forms, accurately adhering to approved policies/procedures
• Confirm that all persons in your room are appropriately shielded before activating x-ray
• Communicate information about your patient’s status to other staff responsible for your patient’s care
• Perform required maintenance of your instruments, supplies, and equipment by adhering to cleaning care, storage, and calibration procedures

Qualifications you will need

• Graduate of accredited school of radiology required
• 1+ years' experience as a Radiology Technician required, preferably in an operating room or surgery center setting
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technicians (ARRT) Required
• BLS required (Within 30-Days of Start)
• State Radiology Technician license required
