Job summary

Surgery Ventures in partnership with HCA Healthcare is seeking a Radiology Technician for a seasonal program. You will prep patients for exams, assess conditions, and ensure proper shielding and documentation.

Eligible candidates have ARRT certification, state license, and BLS; one year of radiology experience preferred in OR or surgery center settings. Program dates Oct 1, 2026 to Dec 31, 2026; schedules may vary and benefits are limited to retirement contributions.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited school of radiology.
  • 1+ years' experience as a Radiology Technician, preferably OR or surgery center.
  • ARRT Certification required; BLS within 30 days; State Radiology Technician license required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares patients for exams and procedures; assesses condition before and during radiologic work.
  • Assembles supplies and positioning aids per physician's preference card.
  • Tests and monitors equipment for proper functioning.
  • Documents records and forms in compliance with policies.
  • Ensures all persons in the room are shielded before activating x-ray.
  • Communicates patient status to other care staff.
  • Performs maintenance and cleaning of instruments and equipment.

Job description

SEASONAL RATE: $45/hr

PROGRAM DATES ARE OCT 1, 2026 TO DEC 31, 2026

Seasonal Program requirements:

  • Current HCA Healthcare or HWS employees are not eligible to transfer into the seasonal program
  • All Seasonal Staff are required to work a minimum of 24 hours per week / 48 hours per pay period during the seasonal period to qualify
  • Seasonal Staff may be asked to float to another center within the same division/market if emergent staffing needs exist
  • Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off
  • Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401(k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policy
  • Registered Nurses who are in the Seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation
  • Schedules/shifts may vary based on center needs
What you will do:

Prepares patients for exams and procedures. Assesses patient condition prior to and during all radiologic procedures.

Assemble necessary supplies and positioning aids for scheduling your procedures according to your physician’s preference card

Tests and monitor your equipment for proper working condition

You will document records and other forms, accurately adhering to approved policies/procedures

Confirm that all persons in your room are appropriately shielded before activating x-ray

Communicate information about your patient’s status to other staff responsible for your patient’s care

Perform required maintenance of your instruments, supplies, and equipment by adhering to cleaning care, storage, and calibration procedures

Qualifications you will need:

Graduate of accredited school of radiology required

1+ years' experience as a Radiology Technician required, preferably in an operating room or surgery center setting

Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technicians (ARRT) Required

BLS required (Within 30-Days of Start)

State Radiology Technician license required
