Job summary

Surgery Ventures, powered by HCA Healthcare, is hiring a Seasonal Surgical Tech for a temporary period at multiple centers in Colorado. Responsibilities include assisting in the operating room, scrubbing for procedures, and maintaining asepsis.

The role requires OR experience, Colorado registration, and a valid BCLS certification. Seasonal staff work a minimum 24 hours per week and may float to other centers within the division.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (preferred).
• One year experience in an operating room setting (preferred).
• Surgical Tech Certification preferred.
• State of Colorado Surgical Tech Registration required.
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment (Online certification not acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct patient care in the operating room and support the surgeon.
• Scrub and assist in the operative field and ensure room turnover between cases.
• Maintain surgical asepsis and properly handle instruments, sponges, and dressings.
• Prepare the OR and equipment for next cases; communicate needs to supervisor.

Surgery Ventures, powered by HCA Healthcare is hiring a Temporary Surgical Tech for a seasonal commitment to help meet staffing demands during our high-volume season. Our seasonal staff earn high pay rates and have priority over future FT/PT/PRN positions after the seasonal program ends.

Surgical Tech Seasonal Rate: $45.00

Schedule: Temporary (October 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026)

Seasonal Requirements:

• Current HCA/SVG employees are not eligible to transfer into the seasonal program


• All Seasonal Staff are required to work a minimum of 24 hours per week/48 hours per pay period during the seasonal period to qualify


• Seasonal Staff may be asked to float to another center within the same division/market if emergent staffing needs exist


• Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off· Schedules/shifts may vary based on center needs

Job Summary And Qualifications

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Seasonal Surgical Tech contributes to the company’s mission and vision by assisting with the provision of safe and effective nursing care in accordance with a defined scope of practice within the operating room. This may include: direct patient care and observation, scrubbing and assisting the surgeon at the operative field, surgical room turnover between cases, collection and recording of pertinent clinical data in the medical record and consistent collaboration with the Registered Nurse in clinical decision making.

What you will do in this role:

• You will rotate to other ambulatory surgery center facilities


• Demonstrate necessary practical, technical, or specialized skills required for the role of the surgical technician in accordance with Association of Surgical Technologists


• Assist in preparing the operative suite for surgery by checking and gathering supplies, equipment, and instruments


• Ensure that surgical asepsis is maintained in the handling of instruments, sponges, sutures, drains, needles, and dressings


• Assist in the turnover of the O.R. suites between cases, disposing of trash and linens, and cleaning of equipment and environmental surfaces


• Prepare procedure room for use the following day by bringing in equipment, setting up, "pulling cases" accurately, and reporting to supervisor items that are needed and not available

Qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (preferred)


• One year experience in an operating room setting (preferably in an ambulatory surgery center)


• Surgical Tech Certification preferred


• State of Colorado Surgical Tech Registration required


• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment ***Online certification not acceptable
