Job summary

Piedmont Mountainside Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate imaging equipment and perform diagnostic procedures following established standards. You will provide patient services to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients while maintaining radiation safety and quality care.

Minimum education includes AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or equivalent; BLS certification is a plus. This is a full-time, on-site role supporting a collaborative care environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• No prior experience required.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Operates radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic radiographs and performs routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices.Provide patient services using imaging modalities. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all radiological procedures on patients of all age groups. Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.


• Maintains competencies for all related components.


• Accurately follows all established imaging protocols for exam being performed.


• Provides quality age specific care in accordance with prescribed standards and practices.


• Adhere to the Radiation Safety Policies and the principles of a viable dose reduction program.


• Provides patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:None

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:BLS certified.
