Job summary

Piedmont Cartersville is hiring a Radiologic Technologist to operate diagnostic radiographic equipment and provide patient care across all age groups. The role adheres to established imaging standards and safety policies, with education in AMA-approved radiologic technology and ARRT/BCLS certification required upon hire.

No prior experience is required; individuals will be supported with training as needed within a collaborative radiology team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• No experience required.
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registered by the ARRT (R) Upon Hire.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic radiographs and performs routine diagnostic procedures per established standards.
• Provides patient services using imaging modalities and cares for patients across all ages.
• Positions patient, selects protocol, and uses required equipment to perform procedures.
• Maintains competencies for all related components and follows imaging protocols for exams performed.
• Provides patient education and communication per prescribed standards.

Responsibilities

Operates radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic radiographs and performs routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices. Provide patient services using imaging modalities. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all radiological procedures on patients of all age groups. Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
• Maintains competencies for all related components.
• Accurately follows all established imaging protocols for exam being performed.
• Provides quality age specific care in accordance with prescribed standards and practices.
• Adhere to the Radiation Safety Policies and the principles of a viable dose reduction program.
• Provides patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards.
