Job summary

PSCFL seeks a licensed Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographs using ionizing radiation while adhering to ALARA and safety protocols. The role involves preparing rooms, equipment, and patient positioning, with accurate PACS data entry and strong communication with staff and physicians.

The ideal candidate will hold a Florida x-ray license, BLS, CPI (within 180 days), and ARRT certification; AMA-accredited radiology education is preferred.

Qualifications

• Florida General X-ray license in good standing.
• American Heart Association BLS in good standing.
• CPI certification required within 180 days of hire.
• ARRT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate portable and stationary x-ray equipment to produce diagnostic radiographs.
• Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and supplies; ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Follow ALARA and Radiation Safety policies and state/federal regulations.
• Verify patient identity and document procedures in PACS after exams.
• Communicate effectively with hospital staff, physicians, and patients.
• Identify and report equipment problems to appropriate personnel.
