Job summary

PSCFL seeks a radiology technologist to perform diagnostic radiographs using portable and stationary x-ray equipment. Responsibilities include room preparation, patient safety, dose optimization, and timely data entry into PACS.

The role requires Florida general x-ray licensure, ARRT registration, and BLS certification, with attention to safety, infection control, and effective communication with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Florida x-ray license required and active.
• ARRT registered as Radiologic Technologist.
• AHA BLS certification required and active.
• AMA Accredited Radiology Technology program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate portable and stationary x-ray equipment and prepare exam rooms, supplies, and medications.
• Maintain radiation safety and ALARA practices in all procedures.
• Document Fluoro time, KVp, and mAs in Cerner after exams.
• Position patients and ensure comfort and safety during examinations.
• Enter patient data into PACS for interpretation immediately after exams.
• Assist with inventory, room cleanliness, and equipment maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
