Job summary

UC San Diego Health at Hillcrest in San Diego seeks a Radiology Technician to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic exams under general supervision. You will prepare patients, position them for high-quality images and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Requires CRT-R, CRT-F within 6 months, ARRT (R.T(R)(ARRT)), and BART or BLS with commitment to obtain BART within six months. This is a 50% appointment with nights and 10-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• California Radiology Technologist of Radiography (CRT-R).
• California Radiology Technologist of Fluoroscopy (CRT-F) within six months of hire.
• Registered Technologist for Radiography by ARRT (R.T(R)(ARRT)).
• BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to obtain BART within six months.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic exams per established protocols.
• Prepare and position patients to obtain high-quality images.
• Enter data into the computer system and verify images for quality.
• Ensure compliance with safety, policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist other technologists as needed.
