Job summary

Ochsner Health seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures and mentor junior staff. You will verify orders, operate imaging equipment, and ensure diagnostic quality while adhering to safety protocols.

ARRT certification or registry-eligible with eligibility within 90 days, plus current state license and BLS, are required. Applicants must be able to work a flexible schedule and travel between facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with computers, software and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication; professional presentation of information.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (24/7, weekends, holidays, on-call) and travel between facilities.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician order and procedure accuracy.
• Use radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explain procedures to patients for understanding.
• Operate imaging equipment independently per protocol.
• Review patient images to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Perform quality control procedures per regulatory standards.
• Assist in department operations (inventory, staffing, maintenance).
• Adapt interactions to patient population and privacy considerations.
