Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures in accordance with safety protocols. You will mentor junior staff and may travel between facilities as needed to support patient care.

Required is completion of an approved radiologic technology program and ARRT registration or eligibility with registration within 90 days. A current BLS certification is also required to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Required - Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• Preferred - Radiologic technology experience.
• Current ARRT registration or eligibility with registration within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure accuracy.
• Operates radiology equipment to complete imaging procedures per protocol.
• Explains procedures to patients to ensure understanding and comfort.
• Reviews images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Performs quality control procedures and assists in department operations.
