Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems in Chester, VA is seeking a Radiology Technologist Diagnostics II to perform radiographic exams and coordinate with licensed practitioners. You will apply ALARA principles, prepare patients, and ensure image quality.

Requirements include ARRT registration, JRC Accredited program graduation, BLS, and at least one year of radiology experience. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is available for offers accepted by Sept 30, 2026. EEO employer.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required (ARRT-R).
• At least one year of radiology experience required.
• Graduation from a JRC Accredited Radiologic Technology program recognized by ARRT.
• Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or closely related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures.
• Determine radiographic exposure factors.
• Assist LIP with fluoroscopic and interventional procedures.
• Perform non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures as prescribed by a LIP.
• Apply ALARA principles to minimize exposure.
• Receive and document imaging orders in the medical record.
• Maintain patient safety and provide patient education.
