Job summary

UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center is seeking a Student Radiologic Technologist II to assist physicians in diagnostic imaging by preparing patients and operating x-ray equipment to obtain quality diagnostic images.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED; an associate degree or equivalent radiography coursework is preferred, with current enrollment in the radiography program (2nd year). On-site position with potential for travel between campus facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; an associate degree is preferred.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited Radiography Program (2nd year) with two semesters completed.
• Experience in radiology is not required (N/A).

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Ensures patient safety and comfort while in the radiology department.
• Teamwork: Works within a team to achieve patient and team goals.
• Technical Competency: Follows routine standards and safely manipulates equipment to obtain images.
• Maintains sterile equipment and fields; adjusts cameras for proper density and contrast.
