Job summary

UVA Health Outpatient Imaging Gainesville is seeking a Radiology Technologist to assist physicians and operate x-ray equipment to obtain diagnostic images in a fast-paced setting.

We require a high school diploma or GED and graduation from an accredited radiology program; ARRT or registry eligibility is required, with certification within 12 months of hire. Two years of radiology experience is preferred and strong patient-care skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited Radiology program.
• 2 years of diagnostic radiology experience preferred.
• ARRT or registry eligible; complete ARRT within 12 months of hire; state licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in diagnostic/therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating x-ray equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Maintain patient safety, explain procedures, and ensure timely patient flow.
• Follow protocols, interpret steps, and ensure equipment safety and cleanliness.
