Job summary

Atrium Health in Macon, GA is seeking a patient transporter for the Radiology department (Xray). This full-time role requires weekend shifts Fri, Sat, Sun 7p-7:30a, 36 hours per week, with pay range $28.55–$42.85 per hour. Requires ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology education and registry eligibility with BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date. BLS required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of patient safety, infection control, and high-quality radiologic transport procedures.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients, guests, and visitors to destinations using ambulatory, beds, cribs, stretchers, and wheelchairs.
• Uses hospital paging system and transport tracking.
• Operates hospital telephone system for transport coordination.
• Assists clinical staff with patient transfers from bed to transport equipment.
• Transports and orients patients to their rooms and departments.
• Provides directions to guests and families and locates patients as needed.
• Verifies outpatient registrations and transports to appropriate departments.
• Retrieves, cleans, and stores transport equipment.
