Job summary

Baystate Health's radiology department seeks a Radiologic Technologist to operate diagnostic X-ray equipment under radiologist supervision and adhere to established procedures to obtain high-quality diagnostic films.

Responsibilities include fluoroscopy and portable imaging in NICU, Pedi, OR, ICU, ER; outpatient X-rays; and mobile/surgical exams. Ensures safety, proper QA, and timely image transfer to PACS in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• MA RT license and ARRT Registry preferred.
• Proficiency with CR/DR and PACS systems.
• Ability to work independently and monitor safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic X-ray equipment under radiologist supervision.
• Perform fluoroscopy, portable imaging in NICU/OR/ICU/ER and outpatient X-rays.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and ensure image transfer to PACS.
• Maintain equipment and room cleanliness and stock supplies.
• Respond to emergencies and adhere to safety standards.
