Job summary

Brigham and Women's Hospital is seeking an Imaging Support Associate to assist radiology teams at 75 Francis Street. The role focuses on patient preparation, positioning, room readiness, and assistance with image management and documentation to ensure safe, efficient procedures.

You will help transport patients, maintain supplies, support labeling and transfer of images to PACS, and uphold a clean, patient-friendly environment in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for imaging procedures, providing clear information about what to expect and addressing questions within scope of the role.
• Assist patients with positioning and preparation to support safe, high-quality imaging.
• Prepare and organize imaging rooms, equipment, and necessary supplies prior to procedures.
• Support radiology technologists with image processing, including labeling, organizing, and transferring digital images to the PACS.
• Assist with the safe transport of patients to and from the radiology department.
• Monitor and maintain departmental supplies, including gowns, contrast-related materials, and other necessary items.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to patient procedures, supporting medical record and billing requirements.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients, visitors, and team members.
