Job summary

Carondelet St. Josephs Hospital in Tucson, AZ is seeking a radiologic technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures under minimal supervision, serving patients from newborn to elderly.

You will work across advanced radiology areas including OR, fluoroscopy, myelography, and trauma, ensuring high quality images and patient safety while advancing professional competencies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program.
• ARRT eligibility and ARRT certification within one year.
• BLS certification and state license if required.
• Associates degree preferred; 1-3 years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produces high quality diagnostic radiographs and rotates through advanced areas.
• Assists with fluoroscopy, arthrography, OR procedures and trauma.
• Completes established competencies within introductory period.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Under minimal supervision, performs basic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. Exercises professional judgment in providing health care services, applying x-ray energy, to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly.

• Produces high quality diagnostic radiographs, rotates through advanced areas of diagnostic radiology to include OR, Urography, open reductions, myelography, arthrography, placements and trauma;
• Assists practitioner with fluoroscopy, arthrography, OR procedures and trauma
• Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
• Other duties as assigned

• Minimum Requirements:
  • Education: Graduate of accredited Imaging Program
  • Licensure/Certifications:
    • ARRT or registry eligible
    • must have ARRT within one year post graduation
    • BLS, state license if required
• Preferred Requirements
  • Education: Associates degree
  • Experience: 1-3 years
