USPI Aloe Surgical Center in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Radiology Tech PRN to join our fast-paced ambulatory surgery center. You will perform radiographic procedures across OR, trauma, pediatric and outpatient areas while ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging.

The role requires ARRT certification, state licensure, CPR/BLS, and intra-operative experience. You will collaborate with physicians and the radiology team to deliver timely studies and maintain equipment and sterile technique.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiology program and state licensure.
• ARRT certification and BLS/CPR required.
• Intra-operative radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiologic duties across the OR, trauma, pediatric, and outpatient areas.
• Operate x-ray equipment to obtain radiographs with proper exposure and radiation safety.
• Prepare supplies, position patients, and explain procedures to patients.
• Monitor equipment and assist radiologists with fluoroscopy and special studies.
• Document studies and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Radiology Tech PRN USPI Aloe Surgical Center is hiring a Radiology Tech PRN. USPI Aloe Surgical Center is a fast-paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. This position is an opportunity for a dynamic Radiology Technologist to join a top-notch, Surgical Center. This Radiology Technologist shall demonstrate first class customer service.

Job Duties:

• Perform the described duties in the primary work area and demonstrate competency in the following: IV and contrast administration, orthopedic radiology, pediatric radiology, operating room Radiology, trauma Radiology, GI Radiology, outpatient and inpatient diagnostic Radiology, myelography and arthrography.
• Perform a variety of technical tasks involved in operating x ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body as specified by physician; adjust equipment for proper exposure, voltage and current in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures.
• Determine, prepare and set up medical supplies, instruments and equipment; explain x ray procedures to patients; position patients for each anatomical view specified using immobilization and protective devices as required; report any changes in patient condition to attending medical staff.
• Monitor accessory equipment and assist attending physician with fluoroscopic examinations and special radiographic studies.
• Record amount and type of film exposed; label film with identifying information; sort as required.
• Consult with lead x-ray tech and radiologist to ensure compliance with established standards of quality.
• Process film in accordance with standardized procedures and maintain assigned work area in clean and orderly condition.

Required Skills:

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Able to read, write, type, and perform calculations at a level generally acquired through completion of high school plus six months or less training beyond high school
• Able to prepare reports and keep records.
• Able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other members of the health care team.
• Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
• Familiar with medical terminology and departmental supply items.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• State Department of Health - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist.
• Basic Life Cardiac Support.

Education and/or Experience:

• Graduate of an approved school of Radiology.
• Currently licensed in the state.
• CPR required, advanced life support certification required.
• One year experience required intra-operative setting.
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
• Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.
• Active state license and ARRT license required upon hire.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required
