Summit View Surgery Center is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist to join our fast-paced team. The role involves operating X-ray and fluoroscopy equipment under physician direction, with emphasis on sterile field assistance during operating room and pain management procedures.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of OR radiography experience, ARRT registration, CPR current, and strong communication skills to coordinate with staff, physicians, and patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology program.
• 1-2 years of experience with C-Arm and portable x-ray in an operating room setting.
• ARRT registration and CPR current.
• Knowledge of local, state, federal, and Joint Commission Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform outpatient diagnostic Radiology, Fluoroscopy.
• Operate x-ray equipment and adjust exposure per physician instructions.
• Prepare supplies and explain procedures to patients; position them correctly.
• Report changes in patient condition to attending medical staff; maintain safety standards.

Hourly Range: $32-$39(based on experience)

Job Summary

The Radiologic Technologist will perform multiple procedures under the direction of specialized physicians, including the operation of special imaging and radiology equipment. Skilled at sterile field assistance during operating room and pain management procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Radiologic Technologist

• Outpatient diagnostic Radiology, Fluoroscopy
• Perform a variety of technical tasks involved in operating X-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body as specified by physician; adjust equipment for proper exposure, voltage, and current in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures.
• Determine, prepare and set up medical supplies, instruments and equipment; explain x ray procedures to patients; position patients for each anatomical view specified using immobilization and protective devices as required; report any changes in patient condition to attending medical staff.
• Monitor accessory equipment and assist attending physician with fluoroscopic examinations and special radiographic studies.
• Record amount and type of film exposed; label film with identifying information; sort as required.
• Consult with lead x-ray tech and radiologist to ensure compliance with established standards of quality.
• Process film in accordance with standardized procedures and maintain assigned work area in clean and orderly condition.
• Strong teamwork skills, utilizing "down time" to perform other assigned tasks, including room turnovers, restocking warmer, specialty carts, etc.

Required Skills

• Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology.
• 1-2 years of experience in C-Arm and Portable x-rays in an operating room setting.
• ARRT Registered, State MRT, and CPR Current.
• Knowledgeable of local, state, federal, and Joint Commission Regulations.
• Must possess independent decision‑making skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients and families.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required.
