Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join the Diagnostic Imaging team. You will perform diagnostic imaging exams using radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable, and other equipment, both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary care team.

You will be assigned to a designated radiography area (Inpatient, Outpatient, or Emergency Room) and may support alternate Mass General Brigham sites as needed to maintain excellent patient care and coverage.

Qualifications

• Radiography certificate or diploma required.
• Associate degree in Radiography preferred.
• ARRT registration required within 90 days of hire.
• State Radiologic Technologist/Technician license required.
• 0–1 year of radiology technology experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, radiation physics, ALARA principles, radiographic equipment, and positioning.
• Excellent attention to detail, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs., including linens, supplies, and assisting with patients as needed.

Responsibilities

• Confirm the correct patient and exam through patient interview, medical record review, and appropriate documentation.
• Explain exams, safety protocols, and procedures in a way that supports patient understanding and comfort.
• Adjust equipment settings and technical factors to safely and effectively capture diagnostic images.
• Perform imaging exams according to department protocols and Radiologist requests.
• Operate radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable, diagnostic, and other equipment as needed.
• Ensure exams are correctly labeled and successfully transmitted to PACS.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency and infection control situations.
• Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines while maintaining professionalism, flexibility, and composure.

About the Role
