Job summary

Mass General Brigham Community Physicians is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join the Pentucket Medical diagnostics team, delivering high-quality imaging in a patient-centered environment where collaboration and clinical excellence are valued.

The role involves performing radiographic and fluoroscopic exams, adhering to safety protocols, accurately labeling and transferring images to PACS, and working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Radiography certificate or diploma required.
  • Associate degree in Radiography preferred.
  • ARRT registration required within 90 days of hire.
  • State Radiologic Technologist/Technician license required.
  • 0-1 year of radiology technology experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, radiation physics, ALARA principles, radiographic equipment, and positioning.
  • Excellent attention to detail, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Confirm patient and exam through interview and chart review.
  • Explain exams, safety protocols, and procedures clearly.
  • Adjust equipment settings to capture diagnostic images.
  • Perform imaging exams per department protocols and Radiologist requests.
  • Operate radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable, diagnostic, and other equipment.
  • Ensure exams are labeled and transmitted to PACS.
  • Recognize and respond to emergencies and infection control situations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines professionally.

Job Summary

What you're expected to do includes the following.

What You'll Do
  • Confirm the correct patient and exam through patient interview, medical record review, and appropriate documentation.
  • Explain exams, safety protocols, and procedures in a way that supports patient understanding and comfort.
  • Adjust equipment settings and technical factors to safely and effectively capture diagnostic images.
  • Perform imaging exams according to department protocols and Radiologist requests.
  • Operate radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable, diagnostic, and other equipment as needed.
  • Ensure exams are correctly labeled and successfully transmitted to PACS.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency and infection control situations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines while maintaining professionalism, flexibility, and composure.
