Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Wailuku, Hawaii is seeking a Lead Radiologic Technologist to oversee the Radiology subsection under the Diagnostic Imaging umbrella. You will guide radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable, trauma and surgical imaging, while maintaining high image quality and safety standards.

The role includes supervising staff, coordinating schedules, mentoring students, and driving process improvements to enhance patient care at Kaiser Permanente facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years general radiology experience.
• Associates degree in radiologic technology or two years of directly related experience.
• Radiographer License (Hawaii) required at hire.
• Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
• Radiologic Technologist Certification required at hire from ARRT
• Supervisory/lead and project management experience.
• Excellent technical skills.
• Ability to coordinate the work of others.
• Minimum two (2) years of clinical Radiology teaching (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Monitors and directs technical operation of Radiology subsection; provides direction in specified areas and ensures high image quality and adherence to protocols.
• Coordinates daily fluoroscopy scheduling and patient flow; assists with floor stock medications.
• Ensures patient safety, privacy, and data accuracy in RIS; screens for contraindications.
• Provides patient-centered service and supports transport when needed.
• Rotates on-call responsibilities and mentors new personnel.
• Supports supervision of student technologists during clinical assignments.
• Pursues ongoing continuing education and participates in departmental meetings.
