Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree in radiologic technology or two years of related experience.
• Hawaii Radiographer License required at hire.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Radiography certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic examinations per departmental protocols in diagnostic imaging, OR, ED, and patient rooms.
• Identifies patients, reviews orders, and correlates clinical history with exams.
• Maintains accuracy of data entry in RIS and forwards to PACS.
• Assists radiologists during fluoroscopic procedures and operates imaging systems.
• Performs DEXA studies and procedures with appropriate positioning and QC.
• Maintains equipment knowledge and reports malfunctions or safety concerns.
• Provides patient-centered communication and safety guidance, following ALARA principles.
• Rotates on-call responsibilities for General Radiology service areas.
• Participates in continuing education and departmental meetings.
