Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree in radiologic technology or two years of related experience.
• Radiographer license (Hawaii) required at hire.
• Basic Life Support required at hire.
• ARRT certification in radiography required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiologic examinations per departmental protocols in diagnostic imaging, OR, ED and patient rooms.
• Position patients and select technical factors to obtain optimum imaging.
• Review orders and correlate clinical history with exams; consult radiologists/nurses as needed.
• Complete patient history and DEXA fracture assessment forms; enter data in RIS.
• Operates and understands fluoroscopy, general radiology and portable imaging systems.
• Perform DEXA studies and QC; process/review images for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintain equipment knowledge and report malfunctions; ensure room cleanliness.
• Provide compassionate patient communication and assist with patient transport as needed.
