Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Rad Tech Assistant to support the clinical department and help manage exam flow, room turnover, patient handling, and safe patient care.

Responsibilities include stocking rooms, assisting with patient transfer and lifts, handling paperwork, and maintaining professional communication with patients and staff while upholding I-CARE values and a respectful appearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS within 30 days of hire.
• Skilled in the proper handling of patients; courteous and attentive to all patients.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates I-CARE values in daily work and interactions.
• Assists with exam flow: stocks rooms, turns over rooms between patients, rooms patient, assists with patient transfer/lifts as necessary.
• Supports safe patient care environment and handles paperwork as assigned.
• Communicates effectively with patients and care providers; coordinates care and helps with scheduling and documentation.
