Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Technologists Assistant to support technologists and ensure smooth patient flow in our Maine imaging center. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week role focuses on preparing rooms, coordinating schedules, and assisting during scanning to keep procedures on time.

You will greet patients, help with room prep, maintain clean work areas, and assist with routine tasks as needed. A High School diploma is required, and enrollment in a Radiologic Technologist program is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Currently enrolled in a Radiologic Technologist program.

Responsibilities

• Monitors schedules for all modalities, arthrograms, and image scans, adjusting as necessary.
• Greets and escorts patients to changing room; briefly explains procedure.
• Prepares patient jackets and compiles films putting them together in appropriate jacket according to date and number.
• Assists technologists in room setup between patients, including putting proper coil on table and changing table sheet.
• Prepares the next patient for scanning before the current patient completes their procedure to optimize scheduling.
• Restores and networks all previous exams for next day's returning patients.
• Stocks and cleans work and control areas and MRI room(s).
• Ensures imaging areas are stocked and organized; cleans patient prep room and restroom.
• Stocks linen and manages laundry; organizes supply closet and radiologist reading area.
