Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Radiology Tech Assistant to support the Radiology team by utilizing the Radiology Information System, basic computer skills, and clear communication.

The role involves organizing rooms, assisting with patient transport, maintaining supplies, and coordinating with the imaging team to ensure smooth daily operations. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with preferred BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of patient care experience preferred.
• Experience with Radiology Information System preferred.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification required or obtained post-hire.

Responsibilities

• Organizes rooms, stocks linen, changes and properly removes linen.
• Uses two patient identifiers prior to transporting patients to and from Radiology.
• Operates stretchers, patient beds, and wheelchairs safely.
• Reviews daily department schedules to coordinate with Radiology team.
• Maintains supplies in Imaging areas and informs when orders are needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support department operations.
