Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a patient‑focused team member to support radiology workflows. You will place radiographs for interpretation and assist the radiology staff with patient prep and processing of films.

The role includes scheduling duties, handling call center inquiries, reminder calls, and pre-certifications, with a strong emphasis on outstanding customer service to patients and clinicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of college coursework to include biological sciences required.
• One (1) year customer service experience, preferably in a medical/clinic setting, required.
• Successful completion of all IDX classes required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the radiologist by placing radiographs in proper order on multi-viewers.
• Assist the x-ray technologist by preparing patients, processing films and stocking rooms.
• May perform scheduling tasks: answer radiology call center calls, schedule reminders, reschedule due to equipment issues, obtain pre-certifications.
