Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is seeking a Radiology Tech Assistant to support the technologist and nurse in patient care and clerical duties. The role operates in the imaging and diagnostics area during daytime hours.

Responsibilities include patient prep, room setup, IV starts, and coordination with radiology staff. Requires LMRT/MA/PCT/CNA options and bilingual sensitivity; HS diploma essential.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum experience in a healthcare setting as LMRT, MA, PCT or CNA preferred.
• Phlebotomy training preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Must read, write and speak English; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer modality phone extensions and direct calls as needed.
• Obtain prior imaging, imaging reports and prep forms for ordered exams.
• Review modality schedules and make corrections as needed.
• Complete pre-procedure documentation and lab work for ordered exams.
• Prepare exam rooms and keep supplies stocked and organized.
• Position patients for technologist/physician in the exam room.
• Able to start IVs on all patients.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with nursing and radiology staff for patient transport.
