Job summary

The candidate will work in a radiology environment, with emphasis on safety and patient comfort, and may participate in ongoing clinical coursework or related healthcare training as described above.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Enrollment in Radiology Technologist program with at least one semester of clinical coursework completed OR completion of a recognized nursing attendant/aide program OR six months experience as a nursing attendant, patient transporter or other related health care experience may be a substitute.
• Experience in a radiology working environment is preferred, with knowledge of safety issues.

Responsibilities

• Assist the radiology technologist in any area of the radiology department to expedite procedures.
• Recognize patient limitations and provide appropriate support to ensure safety.
• Promote the university health system's Guest Relations Program.
