Job summary

Geisinger Lewistown Hospital is seeking a Regular Radiology Support associate to assist radiology staff with patient transport, preparation, and clerical tasks. You will help schedule studies, answer phones, and ensure imaging rooms are ready, contributing to efficient patient flow.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, preparing paperwork, coordinating with imaging personnel, and supporting in emergencies while maintaining accurate records and supplies for daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) - Required.
• Minimum of 1 year healthcare experience.
• Minimum of 1 year imaging experience (Preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients upon arrival and assist with paperwork.
• Transport patients to imaging areas as needed.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with imaging staff.
• Answer phone calls and route messages appropriately.
• Document patient information from interviews or physician input.
• Assist in patient preparation and completion of examinations.
• Maintain records and supplies for imaging studies.
