Job summary

AdventHealth Hendersonville is seeking a Radiologic Technologist in training who is in the senior year of a 2-year Allied Health program. The role involves assisting with radiographic imaging, patient care, and strict safety practices under supervision.

Responsibilities include proper patient positioning, demographic accuracy, EMR/PACS documentation, and maintaining infection control and room readiness. CPR/BLS is required; ARRT registration pursued for professional development.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, team members, and others of diverse backgrounds.
• Moves, positions, and manipulates radiographic equipment to complete requested procedures safely.
• Performs patient care duties within scope of practice, including transporting patient and using proper infection control techniques.
• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
• Ability to follow basic radiation safety concepts of time, distance and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patient and staff. Other duties as assigned.
• Pursues ARRT registration and appropriate continuing education for professional development.
• Performs radiographic imaging procedures under the guidance of radiologic technologist, ensuring high-quality images that meet department standards.
• Positions patients and equipment, selecting technical factors to produce radiographic images safely and in a timely manner.
• Performs imaging with correct patient demographic and examination information. Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
• Assists patients during procedures, ensuring their comfort, safety, and privacy, in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
