Job summary

Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, ID, is seeking an Imaging Student Extern PRN to gain hands-on experience under supervision. You’ll be part of a compassionate team delivering imaging services while you learn from certified technologists.

The role involves preparing patients, assisting with positioning, safely transporting patients, setting up rooms, and acting as a communication bridge among patients, technologists and care teams.

Qualifications

• Student in an approved Radiologic Technology program or on-the-job training under supervision.
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for imaging by medical history, identity checks and positioning assistance.
• Safely transport patients between areas, supporting comfort during procedures.
• Set up imaging rooms, manage turnover and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, technologists and the care team.
• Participate in learning opportunities and follow safety and confidentiality standards.
