RAYUS Radiology in Richardson, TX is seeking a Scheduling Specialist to join our team and manage patient appointments, data entry, and insurance coordination. The role involves answering calls, handling faxes, and coordinating with referring offices to ensure smooth scheduling.

The position is full-time with a rotating schedule: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 10:00am-6:30pm and Sat 8:00am-4:30pm. Experience in a medical office and familiarity with insurance would be beneficial.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong computer skills and typing proficiency.
• Ability to handle a high volume of calls on a multi-line system.

Responsibilities

• Answers phones and handles calls professionally and promptly.
• Schedules patient examinations according to company policy.
• Obtains and records patient and insurance information accurately.
• Enters patient data into information systems completely and accurately.
• Informs patients about financial responsibilities and preparation for appointments.
• Communicates scheduling changes to technologists to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Maintains an up-to-date referral physician database.
• Provides back-up coverage for front office staff as requested by supervisor.
