RWJBarnabas Health in New Jersey is seeking a Scheduler/Receptionist for the Radiology Support Services. The role involves greeting patients, scheduling exams (Ultrasound, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography), and managing patient arrivals and related paperwork.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, CPR/BLS certification within 3 months, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. PACS/EPIC experience is preferred; occasional holiday/weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CPR BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage patient appointments and check-ins.
• Handle in-person and phone communications for scheduling and inquiries.
• Monitor radiology wait times and keep patients informed during visits.
• Assist with file room duties, CD uploads, and escalation of radiology read requests.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Flexibility for coverage during holidays and weekends; rotate as needed.
• Use IDX for scheduling, billing details, and ICD-9/10 coding as applicable.
• Retrieve reports and fax to requesting physicians and departments.
